Mantena scores big in framework agreement with Norske tog – strategic partnership yielded results
Mantena has been awarded a number of subcontracts in a comprehensive framework agreement with Norske tog, where the value of all subcontracts is estimated at one billion NOK. The agreement covers technical consulting, modification, repair, and overhaul of rolling stock, and the offer was submitted together with the specialist environments Prose and Railsupport.
The agreement has a duration of four years, with the possibility of extension for an additional two years (1+1). It provides Mantena and its partners with long-term security and predictability in a market with high activity and strong competition.

Result of teamwork and specialist expertise
Mantena strategically chose not to bid on all subcontracts, yet was awarded 43 out of 56 subcontracts. Mantena was ranked number 1 on 14 of them, and number 2 on an additional 18. In total, 34 companies expressed interest in the competition, 33 were qualified, and 31 submitted offers.
The subcontracts related to consulting services were evaluated based on price (40 %), competence and experience (50 %), and methodology (10 %), while the contracts related to modification, repair, and overhaul were evaluated according to the award criteria of price (30%), competence and experience (40%), and methodology and facilities (30%).
