Quality and Certification

At Mantena, quality is about more than just the end result – it is a holistic approach that creates safe, efficient, and reliable solutions for our customers every day, all year round.

How we work with quality

Mantena is a technical service provider with core expertise in railway vehicles. We provide services to train operators, train owners, manufacturers, and other maintenance providers. We carry out assignments both in our own workshops, in others’ workshops, and out in the field – all over the Nordics.

To ensure high quality in everything we do, Mantena has over many years developed robust processes and routines. Good documentation is a natural part of everything we undertake. Our employees and partners have all the necessary competence and all required approvals. This is our guarantee that the work is performed safely, efficiently, and correctly – every time.

What do we mean by quality?

Quality is about more than just delivering a good end result. At Mantena, we define quality from four central perspectives:

1. External requirements and expectations

We comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards. Our services should meet – and preferably exceed – the customer’s requirements and expectations.

2. Systemic quality

We base our work on well-tested processes and methods, supported by tailored facilities, the right tools, and reliable systems. Our systems ensure traceability, continuous improvement, and technical accuracy.

    3. Personal Quality

    Mantena’s strength lies in our people. We place great emphasis on professional competence, practical experience, professionalism, and good attitudes – this is reflected in the work performed every day.

      4. Perceived Quality

      We know that quality is also about the impression we leave. That’s why we focus on well-maintained facilities and equipment, a professional appearance, close customer follow-up, and a good reputation in the communities where we operate.

        Our certifications are proof of our systematic work with quality, safety, and the environment, and provide customers and stakeholders with assurance that we deliver services in accordance with applicable standards and regulations.

        Mantena holds the following certifications:

        • ECM (Entity in Charge of Maintenance) 1-4 (EU 2019/779)
        • Common Safety Certificate in Sweden
        • EN 15085-2 Welding on rail vehicles and components
        • Company certification according to EU Regulation F-gas 517/2014 and 2015/2067
        • TransQ-certified in relevant categories
        • NS-EN ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System
        • NS-EN ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management
        • Mantena NTO certificate 2018-2022
        • NDT certification (Non-Destructive Testing)
        • Approved training company
        • Several special certifications related to specific operations
